Reflection
This is a slide show project in which students use Google Slides to create a presentation and embed it into their portfolio. We can choose from two options: a self playing presentation or an interactive presentation. The thesis for this presentation can be informative or argumentative. This presentation need to be shaped and organized as an academic essay, with an effective introduction, body, and conclusion.
I chose to make an interactive presentation that allows the audience to explore the different elements of my presentation freely. I want to present about South Korean government’s policies after financial crises and their effects on labour market, and I want the audience to explore by themselves by click on which crisis they want to examine. The audience will click on different links to navigate among the different slides of the presentation. I used Google Slides to create this kind of presentation. I turned text into links so the audience can click on them. These links will take the audience to the different slides of the presentation.
Throughout this project, many of my old skills are reinforced: using media and original content to create a presentation, turning elements of slides into links. I also learned new skill which is embedding google slides into a webpage. I also learned that if I embed a google slides into a webpage, it has no choice but to be auto-advanced, so in order to create enough time for the audience to decide, I chose the maximum duration which is one minute for the slide to be auto-advanced.
In order to post this project here, I took 4 steps:
First, create a presentation with google slides, using original content.
Second, click on the file button and choose publish to the web
Third, choose the time for the slides to auto-advance and copy the link
Fourth, embed the link into portfolio page
